Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information ourschool.bd collects when you use our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using ourschool.bd you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
ourschool.bd ("ourschool.bd", "we", "us") is an online learning and exam-preparation platform for students in Bangladesh. It is developed and maintained by ASM Softwares, based in Khulna, Bangladesh. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, mobile phone number and password. We store your password only in a securely hashed form, never as plain text.
- Profile information: optional profile and cover photos and any other details you add to your profile.
- Content you post: posts, images, comments, likes, shares and the topics you follow.
- Exam activity: the answers you submit, your scores, time taken and rankings.
- Feedback: star ratings, comments and answers you give in our feedback form, and whether you agreed to have it shown publicly.
- Messages to us: anything you send through our contact form or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Login and security data: session cookies, and the device and browser details needed to keep you signed in securely.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, approximate location (city or country level), device type and browser, collected through Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect national ID numbers, payment card details or precise GPS location.
3. How we use your information
- To create your account and verify your phone number with a one-time password (OTP).
- To let you sign in, reset your password and keep your account secure.
- To run exams, calculate your results and show rankings and leaderboards.
- To show your posts and profile to other users and power the feed.
- To send you service messages by SMS, such as OTPs and important account notices.
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To understand how the platform is used so we can improve it.
- To prevent cheating, spam, fraud and abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To comply with the law.
4. What other users can see
Some information is visible to other users or to the public:
- Your name and profile photo.
- Your posts, images and comments, and the likes and shares on them. Post pages can appear in search engines.
- Your name, photo, score and rank on exam leaderboards.
Your phone number and password are never shown to other users. Please think before posting personal details in posts or comments.
5. Feedback and testimonials
We may ask for feedback after an exam or after you make a question paper, at most about once a month, and you can always share it on our feedback page.
- Your feedback is private by default and only read by our team.
- It is shown on our website only if you tick "ourschool.bd may show my feedback" and our team approves it.
- You choose how your name appears (full name, first name and initial, or anonymous) and whether your profile photo is shown. Your phone number is never shown.
- Published testimonials may include badges calculated from your real activity, such as "Verified student" or your best leaderboard rank.
- If you are under 18, you must confirm that your parent or guardian agrees before your feedback can be published.
- We may fix spelling or shorten a testimonial, but we never change its meaning, and we keep your original words on record.
- You can edit, withdraw or delete your feedback at any time on the feedback page. Withdrawing consent removes it from the website straight away.
Sometimes people send us feedback by email or message. We only publish it if they have clearly agreed, and we keep a record of that agreement.
7. Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Bangladesh. When this happens, we choose reputable providers that use industry-standard security to protect your information.
8. How long we keep your information
- We keep your account information for as long as your account is active.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed within a further 90 days.
- Unverified sign-ups and expired OTPs are removed or invalidated automatically.
- We may keep limited records for longer where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and prevent abuse.
9. Children and students under 18
ourschool.bd is built for students, many of whom are under 18.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use ourschool.bd, and they should read this policy with you.
- We collect only the information needed to provide the service, and we do not show advertising targeted at children.
- A parent or guardian can contact us at support@ourschool.bd to review or delete their child's information.
If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.
10. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can view and update your profile information at any time from your profile settings.
- Deletion: to delete your account and personal information, email support@ourschool.bd with your name and registered phone number. To protect your account, we will confirm the request with an OTP sent to that number.
- Copy of your data: you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Analytics: you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
We respond to requests within 30 days.
11. How we protect your information
- All traffic to ourschool.bd is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Passwords and OTPs are stored only as secure hashes.
- Sign-in cookies are protected so that scripts on the page cannot read them.
- Access to admin tools is limited to authorised team members.
No online service can be 100% secure. Please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else, and never share your OTP with anyone, including people claiming to be from ourschool.bd.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will also notify you on the website or by SMS before they take effect.
